Meals On Wheels - Tweed Social Support

Purpose: Our aim is to reduce isolation in our community. We provide assistance to frail aged people, 65 years plus, or 50 years plus if you are from of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Island heritage, and younger people with a disability to maintain links with their community. 

Activities: Group functions and individual outings (subject to volunteer availability).

Catchment Area: From the Tweed Border, south to Pottsville and west to Terranora and Bilambil.

Cost: the usual cost is $20.00 per outing for both mixed groups and Men's days. Special events may cost more and we will advise this prior to the outing.

If you are receiving Meals on Wheels from Tweed Community Support you are eligible to join us on our Social Support outings. Come along and have some fun.

Mixed Group Outing

A weekly mixed outing each month in a safe setting.
Usual cost $20.00

These are small groups of up to 15 clients going on
weekly outings. Details are available from the office.

Men's Group

The Men's group is a very popular day out.
Usual Cost: $20.00
These are a fun day out for the Men only.
One Men's group outing each month.
Details are available from the office.

Living Longer Living Stronger - Exercise groups

These classes have commenced and are very popular.
Our usual venue will be the 
Banora Point Community Centre. 
The cost for the program is $12.00.
We do require you to have a clearance from your Doctor prior to commencing the classes. Please contact the office.
